These are some commonly held myths and misconceptions about
intimate partner violence against men:

That men can’t be victims of abuse.

That men are the perpetrators of violence, but
never the victims.
3.
That men don’t have access to the same resources
as women.
4.
That men are not real men if they can’t take the
abuse.
5. That
men are capable of fighting for themselves.
6.
That real men don’t report abuse.
